The mission of the Association of County Mayors (ACM) is to be an appropriate, permanent organization working to secure cooperation among County Mayors and Executives to develop more efficient economical and uniform administration of county departments.
ACM will serve as a medium for the gathering, exchange and dissemination of information, statistical and otherwise, relating to the functions, financing and operations of county government. ACM will arrange meetings for the various County Mayors and Executives to exchange this information.
ACM is committed to cooperate with the members of the Tennessee General Assembly, The Tennessee Congressional Delegation and US Senators. ACM is dedicated to developing good working relationship with the Governor and branches and departments of state government. We will work with other organizations representing local government in order to promote the purpose of our association.
ACM will extend every effort to promote a better understanding of intergovernmental relations affecting the office of County Mayor or Executive and county government in general.
ACM is committed to take any appropriate or necessary action for the benefit and advancement of the office of County Mayor or Executive and the advancement of county government in Tennessee
